Dumpling Magazine is currently looking to fill the following positions:
Feature Writers: Work for an up-and-coming minority magazine as a feature writer. Writers craft 1,500+ word articles on topics ranging from the lack of Asian-American contestants on reality television, to the rise of the Asian American as political figure, to the rise of popular musicians. Writers are paid between $30 and $50, depending on the depth of reporting. Send resumes, samples and cover letter to careers@dumplingmag.com.
Editorial Interns: Work for an up-and-coming minority magazine. You’ll gain extensive experience on how the inner-workings of a startup magazine manifest and the process behind editorial creation. Tasks may include the following: vetting emails, researching potential article ideas, interviewing people for front-of-the-book pieces, writing follow-up notes and other tasks. Interns should be in college or recent graduates. Pay negotiable up to $50/month. College credit through your university, if available, may be an option.
