Spider-Man is pretty amazing, as he swings into theaters this week, carrying a slew of Asian-American actors with him. In this week’s Friday Features, we take a look at Hollywood’s top new-release films and grade them on their Asian-American presence, or lack thereof. Raise the curtain.

Another revamp of the Spider-Man series, this is another origin story focusing on the web slinger’s (Andrew Garfield’s) romance with Gwen (Emma Stone) and his battle against some creepy-crawly enemies. It features Kelsey Chow, star of Disney’s Pair of Kings.

Taylor Kitsch is the brawn and Aaron Johnson is the brain behind a lucrative weed enterprise in Southern California. When their polyamored girlfriend, Blake Lively, is kidnapped by a Mexican drug cartel, the two do anything to get her back, while Lively holds her own.

This documentary, available in optional 3-D, chronicles the rise of Katy Perry and goes behind the scenes during her dress rehearsals and the day of the show. It features an intimate look at the pop singer who caught our attention with the summer hit “I Kissed a Girl.”
